Real-Feel
This innovative technology simulates realistically, with real smoke, the event of a device, such as a cell phone, laptop or tablet, overheating and beginning to smoke. Your crew can rehearse reaction and protocols in facing such event to prevent escalation
Easy to Use
Activated at the simple toggle of a switch, simulating a smoke event has never been easier! The event stops when the switch is toggled again, passes the bluetooth puck (included) or times out after 30 seconds, to adapt to your training methodology.

The SimTab is designed with many safety functions incorporated to ensure no accidental events, such as overheating, will occur. Temperature sensors and time-out mechanisms are in place to keep the user safe.

SimTab Unit
Train your crew on the safe and proper procedures for handling fire or smoke emitted by a portable electronic device (PED) in a confined space due to lithium-ion battery failure.
The device is the size of a commonly used PED. Upon activation, a smoke-like “fog” is emitted to simulate a lithium-ion battery failure, requiring immediate intervention from the flight crew.
You can get replacement cartridges or glycerin (USP type) at any retail store. Cartridges (or PODS) are 2ml, SMOK NOVO 2 Pods 1.4 ohm. You can also contact aviation@tulmar.com to request a pack of refills.
Designed with the needs of airlines to train their cabin crew through realistic experience, the SimTab provides a true to real situation experience simulating a standard tablet beginning to smoke, to train on the protocols for handling fire hazards with Personal Electronic Devices (PED). The SimTab quickly starts to smoke on a simple toggle and is stopped through various modes, permitting the training facility to configure the device to their own protocols.
The SimTab is robust to allow multiple uses in each training session and is easy to refill and reset by a single person. It is a dual compartment system, thus extending training time.
